We have banned bad news about the economy. From today, the site will no longer publish negative reports about UK’s faltering growth.
It
follows a string of (now familiar) reports suggesting that Britain is heading
for recession. It is also a response to Alistair Darling’s ill-conceived
comments about the economy last week, which have damaged confidence.
LaunchLab’s writers agree that ‘doom and gloom’ scares off would-be entrepreneurs unduly and convinces business owners to postpone growth plans.
To back up our decision, we have gathered a handful of examples (see here) of entrepreneurs who are shrugging off the effects of the downturn and pushing on with the job of growing their businesses.
